The brief called for generous concealed storage without losing the architectural language of the hallway. A dentil cornice, fluted pilasters and tall panelled doors give the new joinery the permanence of an original feature.
In context
Classical lines, carefully balanced.
The elevation responds to the proportions of the windows and existing trim rather than imposing a standard cabinet grid. Warm cane and restrained hardware soften the painted joinery, while the cornice creates a deliberate finish at ceiling level.
